Private Lessons

RGS currently offers 30 minute weekly classes in a wide array of instruments and styles with highly qualified instructors. Classes are taught one on one in a professional environment. Our student's skill levels range from child beginner to adult hobbyist to university level musician, and everything in between. Areas of study include piano, vocal, guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass instruments, and more.

Upon filling out your free trial lesson form, we determine the best teacher for you based on the details you provided and contact you to schedule your first lesson.

Tuition for weekly 30 minute private lessons is $125 per month. We offer a discount for siblings or a single student taking multiple lessons at $100/month per additional lesson.

101 Group Classes

Our group classes are the perfect option for beginning musicians looking to learn alongside their peers. These are taught by an experienced teacher in groups of 4 to 8 children of similar age and skill level.

  • Piano 101

  • Guitar 101

  • Drums 101

  • Vocal 101

  • Band 101

Our Band 101 program is perfect for the young student who wants to experiment with multiple different instruments. This is our most popular group class.

Teachers will closely monitor students progress and will recommend when a student is ready to advance to more difficult group classes (102, 103, etc.) or private lessons in their respective instrument.

Tuition for weekly 45 or 60 minute group classes is $75 per month. We offer a discount for siblings or a single student taking multiple classes at $50/month per additional class. Length of class is determined by class size.

Band Classes

Our band classes are for the more dedicated students that are ready to collaborate with a group. Teachers pair up students they believe will work well together, based on their chosen instrument, skill level, style, age, and experience. Collaborating with other musicians and playing within a group is one of the most important lessons we can teach young musicians.

Because we have many different ages, skill levels, and styles, students are hand picked by teachers and placed in a group they feel the student will excel in. New students with experience must audition with a teacher before being placed in a band.

Performance Showcases

We schedule 2-3 performance showcases throughout the year to demonstrate the progress of our talented students. A typical year includes our big outdoor Summer showcase in June and our formal Christmas showcase in December. We also have our annual Fall Block Party at the studio in late August or September, which is often considered a mini showcase.

In addition to showcases, students are welcome to participate in our monthly Open Mic Nights.

We encourage most students to participate in these performances, as they tend to motivate students to perform their best and are often a focal point in a student's lessons. These showcases tend to be highly entertaining. See our events page for information on our next show.
