OUR MUSIC SCHOOL
RGS currently offers 30 minute weekly classes in a wide array of instruments and styles with highly qualified instructors. Classes are taught one on one in a professional environment. Our student's skill levels range from child beginner to adult hobbyist to university level musician, and everything in between. Areas of study include piano, vocal, guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass instruments, and more.
Upon filling out your free trial lesson form, we determine the best teacher for you based on the details you provided and contact you to schedule your first lesson. After that, the cost of weekly 30 minute private lessons is $110 per month. Dedicated students may choose to have one hour lessons and are charged for the cost of 2 private lessons ($220 per month).
Our band classes are a great opportunity for musicians looking to collaborate with a group. Teachers pair up students they believe will work well together, based on their chosen instrument, skill level, style, age, and experience. Collaborating with other musicians and playing within a group is one of the most important lessons we can teach young musicians.
Because we have many different ages, skill levels, and styles, students are hand picked by teachers and placed in a group they feel the student will excel in. All students who would like to be in a group must schedule an audition with our teachers. The cost of weekly 45-60 minute group classes is $65 per month.
Our single masterclasses are designed for the dedicated performer at any level that want to dive deeper into a particular subject. Topics will range from music theory, songwriting, producing, stage presence, audition preparation, music business, circle of fifths, counting music, musical theater, and much more.
These classes will be taught by staff instructors as well as qualified and professional guest speakers. The cost of a single masterclass will range between $20-$50 per student.
We schedule 2-3 performance showcases throughout the year to demonstrate the progress of our talented students. A typical year includes our Spring showcase in June, our Summer showcase in early September, and our Christmas showcase in December. We also schedule occasional performances around town for students who want additional exposure.
We encourage most students to participate in these performances, as they tend to motivate students to perform their best and are often a focal point in a student's lessons. These showcases tend to be highly entertaining. See our events page for information on our next show.
This is where teachers, students, and parents may log in to register for classes, pay invoices, cancel/reschedule lessons, record attendance, share music files/sheet music, view contact information, and much, much more!
